ONE DAY CRUSADE TO SAVE AMERICA
City on a Hill Radio Show hosted the national ONE DAY CRUSADE TO SAVE AMERICA rally led by Dr. Rick Scarborough of Vision America located in Texas on September 8, 2007 in southeast Alabama.
The mission of the rally was to motivate and train Christian men and women to enter the public square and articulate their Christian faith, to vote their values, and to be salt and light in their communities. The rally is non-partisan in nature and purpose.
Joining Dr. Scarborough was Dr. Alan Keyes, a former presidential candidate and the founder of Renew America. Dr. Keyes is a former university president, and a former United Nations Ambassador in the Reagan administration. He is also a talk show host and author. He has an earned Ph.D. in government from Harvard University and is recognized as one of America’s most articulate spokesmen for statesmanship and the Christian faith.
Prior to founding Vision America, Dr. Scarborough served as a Baptist pastor. He is also an accomplished author, and a regular guest on national talk shows, C-SPAN, and various media outlets. He is also a contributor to USA TODAY and other major publications.
Additional guests at the rally will include former Navy Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt, currently a Ph.D. student at Regent University. In 2007, Lt. Klingenschmitt was removed from his post in the Navy for his uncompromising stand for his Christian faith. Also, Rich Hobson the President of the Foundation for Moral Law   The Foundation represents individuals involved in religious liberties cases and files amicus curiae briefs in state and federal courts.
