Have not touched this website in a while but it is time...
Education was to help America's children learn to compare the truth in the Bible with what is going on in their world. The first education law was called "The Old Deluder Satan Act". Simply put without children learning the truths in God's Word America would fall for the many lies that surround them. We have lost may to the lies of the enemy and Hosea 4:6 warns us not to perish for lack of knowledge.
Here's an example of one state who has lost it's way and it's leaders refuse to help the forgotten children. They have masked the mistakes and with creative ideas transformed the lies with wonderful words and declarations. Meanwhile the effects of children who have grown up very lost are right before our eyes and on many headlines. The tool of the enemy has not changed.
Alabama was 25th prior to Common Core and now past a decade, we are supposed to be excited with the improvements. But many parents have seen their children/dreams destroyed and have had enough with the lies of improvement. It is more than tragic what we see happening to children.
The story of George Hall Elementary should make many weep for the children. A poor school that finally found its way to the top of the national list of schools due to getting great dedicated teachers who were true to their profession of helping the children learn. They won an award as they dispelled the myth that poverty-stricken children can't learn well. They were on top but like most schools crashed with the inception of Common Core.
Many parents are still speaking out about the harm to the children but it is falling on deaf ears. They are praying and hoping for new leaders that would have mercy and remember the forgotten children. They are our future.

Mike Hubbard was just one example...there is so much money in education...Edgenuity will continue to push. When will they be removed from receiving Alabama $$ when time and again they have been seen as corrupt?? It does seem that Alabama was used to usher in the state of chaos in minds of many children in the country?
Alabama parents are tired of the harm to the children. We keep trying to pass laws to help from school choice to also help with the tech addiction that has overtaken children. But we also need to go back to the root of this evil. Back to removing the false education destroying minds of children back to traditional that has served many generations.
Many parents and grandparents can still add and say 2 + 2 =4. We have seen enough to know the Miseducation of America (even Pete Hegseth our Defense Secretary wrote a book with that title) is destroying children, young people and our future. Most students in America are failing. Back in 2010, an expert in mental health warned this change in education is going to raise kids that are easily misled and easily manipulated...remember the Arab Spring? These are the children it's going to raise and you can see them on the news hating and trying to kill the Jews. We are bearing the fruit of straying from the Word of God.
We see students in the news daily now. There was a call put out for Liberal Democrats to go in education. The purposeful "Miseducation" has put a wedge between child and parents (as parents can't help them do the Math for starters). The loss of good books from the past has made reading a chore vs a joy. The wokeism pervading the classrooms have made many children angry with each other, their own bodies, their families and their own country.
We have come a long way from teaching them things which are holy, good and pure. The results are out and not enough lies and pats on the back can convince majority of parents that today's education is good for their children. Homeschooling is on the rise like never before but not fast enough and many more children will bear the effects of miseducation if we continue to allow it.
We hope new leadership will make a difference. May God help us all.

Just recently in March Alabama State School Board meeting, the board passed books that one of the state board members warned that --we are giving defective books in the hands of our teachers (to teach Alabama children).

I agree with you that a young child's inability to handle abstract, nuanced, contextualized knowledge make teaching topics like those an exercise in gross oversimplification resulting in the parroting of black and white thinking (indoctrination). These topics are a violation of the "zone of proximal development" of great child psychologist Lev Vygotsky. His principles influence the best in student pedagogy in the last 3 generations. Teaching these complex topics to youngsters also violates child readiness since the great psychologist Jean Piaget identified 6-7 year olds in the Pre-operational stage of cognitive development. At this stage children lack systems of logic and perspective that adults have. Instead 1st graders are ego-centric ("It's my fault"), think magically (don't understand cause and effect), think concretely (can't understand complex abstract explanations), and are
temporal discounters meaning they value the present rewards over the future consequences. For these reasons, teaching elementary school children about complex disasters, are not only developmentally inappropriate, the teacher must simplify the subject to such a great extent, that instead of a nuanced treatment-- the result is closer to propaganda. Young children can feel responsible for the events (ego centrism), overwhelmed by the vastness of the disaster (disempowerment), and traumatized by the impression that it affects them in the moment (temporal discounting).
In addition, children that age are searching for secondary attachment figures and a sense of identity outside of the immediate family. These attachments and identities are fostered by benevolent authorities (favorite teachers etc) and healthy role models (heroes and community helpers). For that reason, it is devastating to a child's secure attachment and healthy identity when the child's country, leaders, history, and national identity (American, Italian, etc) are denigrated by portrayals of weakness or maliciousness. Children want to attach to strong, benevolent entities. When they are taught at young ages that their nation, leaders and history are weak or malicious, the children will tend to reject that attachment and seek it elsewhere.
Instead of loyalty to country, a child may give their loyalty to subgroups such as Climate change activism, Immigration activism, Far Right and Far left activism, Gender activism etc. When we teach that the American system is weak or riddled with evil, we remove the ONE unifying identity that ALL citizens can unite under regardless of color, creed, religion, sex, and wealth. We are united by our identity as Americans! When we degrade patriotism we divide into warring tribes rather than unite under an inclusive national character.
Older students grade 11 or 12 are beginning to possess enough cognitive flexibility and acumen to be able to understand the complexity of issues, the nuance, and the different perspectives that the "ugly underbelly of history" may offer. But to inflict that point of view on little children is almost abusive in its effects.
President Trump is doing all he can. Parents please tell your legislators and those wanting your votes..it is time to end the poisoning of the minds of children.
