What Happens When State Legislatures Become Stock Exchanges For Selling America's Children? College Readiness Anyone?

Education For Sale Because Who Controls The Children Can Control A Nation

Sad to see the state of affairs in America today.  There is a weeping going on across America today, reminder of when Rachel wept for the Jewish babies being slaughtered by a power hungry leader who did not want to give up his throne.  Wonder if today's leaders remember the demise of such a person?

America is going through a cleansing--having to choose between love for children and love for money/power.  For those fighting against Common Core, the truth is so stark when you hear the awesome, fact-filled and incredible presentation of Dr. Duke Pesta.  We have other speakers all around the country, and they like Dr. Pesta are sounding the alarm and daring the other side to discount the truth.  They tried by using a finalist for National Teacher of the Year, to present the case for the wonderful Common Core as was seen in Alabama's Al.com article.

What Do We Do:

Many states are trying to get out--there is a Stop Common Core on fb for your state--look it up and join them and learn then act and like George Washington and the Founding Fathers be sure to bend your knees and bow your head and ask God for miracles.  He is able and He is soo needed.  If  you love your child it is time to act.

In Alabama there is a bill brought forth called SB101 and it is wonderful.

FROM EAGLE FORUM OF ALABAMA

Dear Friend,

If we are to stop the distress, the dumbing down, and the indoctrination of all our children through common core; if we are to restore state control over education policy in Alabama; if we are to replace common core with the best of the best standards in the nation that reflect Alabama values, YOU will have to act NOW!!! And ask all your like-minded friends to do the same. We need an avalanche of emails to the legislature.

Sen. Rusty Glover (R) has introduced SB101 . It will re-establish local and state control of education; terminate implementation of the Common Core standards; direct the State Board to replace these standards with the Math and English courses in use immediately prior to Common Core; convene Course of Study committees to update these standards and improve upon them using the pre-common core standards from states whose national scores ranked no less than the top 10%; implement these proven, improved standards and aligned assessments; prohibit imposition on Alabama of other such national standards or assessments that cede control away from Alabamians.

1. Call or email these Senators and thank them for co-sponsoring SB101 and let them know if you are their constituent. Glover, Reed, Melson, Allen, Brewbaker, Hightower, Albritton, Bussman, Stutts, Smith, Shelnutt, Sanford. Tell them briefly why your family wants common core replaced.

2. Please email and call your state senator and Sen. Del Marsh and Gov. Bentley and tell them briefly why your family wants common core replaced. Ask them to put SB101 on a fast track!

3. Call or email your House member and Speaker Hubbard. Tell them briefly why you oppose common core. Ask them to replace common core this legislative session.

Alabama’s children will be increasingly stifled, frustrated, and controlled if common core continues. We are on the wrong road and we need to turn around before we become hopelessly lost. We must stand for what works to give our children the tools they need to reach their fullest God-given, self-chosen potential. It is up to you.

Children are not for sale--leaders are using our state legislature like stock exchanges--selling to the highest bidder your child and America's future. Please thank and support those that are helping to pass SB101 and confront while praying for the souls of the others. Also Charter schools will be common core compliant in a couple of years if passed----wake up and don't sell out the children!! Even Presidential Candidates are getting it why not them?

Remember these words in the  Declaration of Independence (in the beginning and end of the matter--there's God.)

Tommy Bice Press Conference--Debunk Common Core and How Citizens and Legislators Can Have A Win Win Situation Like Texas

The Press Conference today with Alabama State Superintendent Tommy Bice sounded like a laundry list of all that we need to hear to calm fears about Common Core Standards.  Only problem is Common Core's basis for implemenation is a lie.  The much touted tested and internationally benchmarked Common Core Standards when held up to the light of truth are very sadly based on hocus pocus.  The facts are Alabama State Board of Ed along with many states because of desperation for money overlooked the fine line of truth that the standards of what were going to be taught their students were not even published when they chained their states education systems to it.  The applications for RTT were signed by Alabama's Governor Riley on Jan 2010 along with then Superintendent Dr. Morton and the contact person was Tommy Bice.  The final draft of the standards was not 'til March 2010 and standards were published in June 2010.  Yet in Jan 2010 the signers had already agreed its full implemenation as part of the requirements to qualify for RTT.  The Tommy Bice guarantees are rather sad when he fails to remove us from the set of lies that led to us getting into Common Core Standards in the first place--these standards were "not tested or internationally benchmarked."  Something that when educators educate themselves on the truth, they would probably be the first to say no to it.   Very troubling for Alabama parents and children.  His talk about how they vetted it (after the fact we locked our state to it within two month without debate) is like a rubber stamp because parents were not notified amply specially when it involved loss of their input.  Most parents would never give up their parental input and that really should never have been considered by the State Board of Alabama as most parents would see that is unconstitutional.  Since they failed to do their job it is now the Senate's turn.  More parents know the truth and this will affect future leadership in Alabama.

Tommy Bice kept saying we were not a Race To The Top State but all that means is we didn't get the money but the shackles of Common Core Standards that they agreed to implement fully are still there.   And his continued promotion of the Common Core Standards which is awful as it was based on a lie in the first place (remember about the tested and internationally benchmarked) is understable considering the money already spent.  But even Georgia who has spent more is trying to get out for their children's sake.  Their finding that Seniors requirement readings are on today's 7th grade level and Math too confusing for even Accountant to figure elementary Math is too wrong to swallow.  They would rather admit their error and free their children to have standards that will indeed lift the minds of children vs dumb them down.  In the end they know it will lift their state.  It is incredible when you contrast it with Robert Scott the former Texas Commissioner of Ed's testimony full of common sense saying he could not sign his state on because the standards were not even written let alone pilot tested.  Wow so much common sense shows why Texas is the place where businesses flock to.  Yes, business can thrive without Common Core in spite of what the proponents of common core says.

There were board members such as Stephanie Bell and Betty Peters who have a track record of sounding the alarm and we pray the Alabama Legislature would heed their warnings and help Alabama become free of the shackles of Common Core Standards. Again, our neighbors in Georgia are filling up with more groanings for parents--so hopefully we will wisen up and move on and adopt free standards such as those in Texas who is leading the nation in business + common sense--a great winning combination for all citizens and I daresay legislators too.

happy with the political ideas of the person living in the White House?
Teacher's salaries will be tied to test scores.
A national database with student/teacher personal information will be
shared not just in Alabama & US but internationally.
Why commit to buy a car you don't know the color, make and style of --
much less how reliable it is?

Common Core Standards--Federalizing the Educational System

The enemy knows that quote well to the point they can probably almost taste their success because they have practically removed the defenders of the family from most American homes.  Fathers are many times absent and so are the mothers.  Many children are either latch key kids or being raised by their grandparents.  Sexual and drug addictions are being promoted/supported rather blatantly in the movies, in homes on televisions and many adults no longer see their role as parents to their offsprings. 

The parents who are trying to take care of their families are inundated with the woes and cares of maitaining a job, preserving what money they get in light of today's problems with the economy and looming insurance uncertainties for their families health care.  Those in the military protecting their nation have special problems that makes the task of parenting harder.

So most of us are distracted when they try to put in place the federalizing of this nation's educational system.  Listen to this podcast and share it.  Let it serve as a wake-up call as Abe Lincoln quotes a warning for us.  It is time America to rebuild the wall and set this nation back to the right course.  It begins with each of us protecting our own.  You don't want to be surprised at what they will be teaching your children--make a difference today with knowing the truth about what is in Obama's Common Core Standards.
